Raku Artist Ramon Camarillo Speaks at SU October 8

SALISBURY, MD---Visiting artist Ramon Camarillo speaks about the Japanese art of Raku pottery 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, in Fulton Hall Room 111 of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥.
A native of Hawaii, Camarillo has been working with Raku—intensely fired and sand-baked pottery—for more than 30 years and has been exhibited internationally. Recent exhibits include displays at the U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh; the Aberystwyth Arts Center in Wales, England; and Raku Ho’olaule’a in Waimanalo, HI, where he earned an honorable mention for his piece “Velvet Fog.”
