Willis is no stranger to the SU stage. Earning his B.A. in vocal performance at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, he portrayed the Sorcerer in the University’s inaugural opera workshop, Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, in 2008. Earning his M.M. in vocal performance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, he has since performed in operas including Die Fledermaus, The Medium, and Amahl and the Night Visitors, as well as performances of Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Magnificat.
Soprano Binkley has performed solos, oratorios and opera roles with the Lancaster Opera Company and Lancaster Symphony Chorus in Pennsylvania, and the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Chorale. She also placed in the top five in South Carolina at the 1996 Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions. Her favorite roles include Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust and Miss Silverpeal in Mozart’s The Impresario. Holding music degrees from Marantha Baptist University and Bob Jones University, she has taught music for nearly two decades.
