'Science, Individualism and Pandemic Politics' Talk at SU

microphoneSALISBURY, MD---Dr. Mike O’Loughlin, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ professor emeritus of political science, speaks about the politics of the COVID-19 pandemic during the presentation “Science, Individualism and Pandemic Politics” 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, in the Patricia A. Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall.

In the light of the ongoing pandemic, how can individuals best understand the emergence of a “pandemic politics” in the U.S.? O’Loughlin hopes to provide answers by reflecting on the nature of science and the philosophy of individualism.

Sponsored by the Political Science Department, admission is free and the public is invited.

All attendees at SU events are required to wear a mask while in the audience, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.

Attendees also must complete an online COVID-19 screening on the day of their visit, prior to coming to the SU campus, at www.salisbury.edu/visitorscreening.
