Signups Open for PRESTO Music Lessons at SU

Preparatory School of MusicSALISBURY, MD---Want to learn to play a musical instrument? ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ can help.

PRESTO, the Preparatory School of Music at SU, is seeking students for its fall sessions, beginning Tuesday, September 4. Private instruction is available in strings (violin, viola, cello and bass), piano, voice and most orchestral and band instruments.

Students participate in 12 weekly sessions each semester, culminating in a student recital in December. Cost for private lessons range from $295 per semester for 30 minutes, which is less than $25 per lesson. Private lessons for 45 minutes and one hour also are available. Half-hour sessions with student teachers are $216 per semester.

Lessons are offered on weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Except for piano, students are required to bring their own instruments. A limited number of need-based scholarships will be offered. Students must be participating in their school music program to be eligible.
