SALISBURY, MD---¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ President Janet Dudley-Eshbach presents her 2009 State of the University address on Thursday, November 5, at 4:30 p.m. in Holloway Hall Auditorium. The President will share her future vision for the University, including budget outlook, enrollment management and physical changes to campus. The public is cordially invited to attend. A question-and-answer session follows.

Part of the presentation will be the University’s proposed Facilities Master Plan, a 10-year schematic for the physical campus, designed to foster growth within the framework of SU’s academic mission of preparing students for an increasingly competitive, global and knowledge-based economy. The plan emphasizes new academic buildings, more student housing, increased recreation and green spaces, enhanced transportation and parking, and an expanded presence east of Route 13.

SU currently serves 8,200 students and 1,700 faculty and staff (full- and part-time). Locally, it is the City of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥’s second largest employer and an economic engine for the Lower Eastern Shore.  Regionally, it is Maryland’s top ranking public master’s level university in U.S. News & World Report. Nationally, SU is ranked as a best value in publications such as Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and Princeton Review/USA Today.
