SU Hosts Inaugural Dance Festival

SALISBURY, MD---¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ hosts the inaugural ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Dance Festival Thursday-Sunday, April 10-13, in Holloway Hall.

Events are free unless otherwise noted.

Events include:

  • Thursday, April 10, 7 p.m., Great Hall – An Evening of Presented Dance Films: Dance films created by local and regional choreographers and artists inaugurate the festival. Note: This program contains nudity.
  • Friday, April 11, 7 p.m., Great Hall – Meet and Greet the Artists: Attendees have the opportunity to meet visiting artists, including Daniel Fetecua-Soto, former soloist with the José Limón Dance Company and director of the Pajarillo Pinta’o dance company, as well as other members of Pajarillo Pinta’o. The evening also includes Colombian dance demonstration led by Fetecua-Soto, a native of Bogatá.
  • April 12-13, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday, Jackson Family Auditorium – ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Dance Festival: The festival celebrates all things dance on the Eastern Shore and beyond. Showcased performers include the SU Dance Company, and local dance studios, clubs and groups, alongside professional choreographed works by Fetecua-Soto and Pajarillo Pinta’o.

Admission for Thursday and Friday events is free. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday performances are $10, $5 for students, available through SU’s online box office. The public is invited.
