Author Liz Faber Discusses Latest Work at SU April 24

SALISBURY, MD---Author Liz Faber discusses her latest work,  Robot Suicide: Death, Identity and AI in Science Fiction, 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in Room 153 of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥’s Conway Hall.

Her talk is part of SU’s Dotterer Public Lecture in Literature series.

Faber speaks about her work exploring how fictional robots hold up a mirror to cultural perceptions about suicide and can help individuals rethink real-world policies regarding mental health. Dr. T. Ross Leasure, professor of English, supplements the discussion, referencing texts not covered in Robot Suicide, like Ian McEwan’s Machines Like Me.

Admission is free and the public is invited. Those planning to park on campus must register in advance for a free parking pass
