SU Fall Fulton Faculty Colloquium Speakers Announced

SALISBURY, MD---Faculty in ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts share their research and expertise during this semester’s Fulton Faculty “Colloquium,” which gets its name from Latin, meaning “to talk.” 

Presentations, including light refreshments, are 3:30 the first Tuesday of each month in Conway Hall Room 152.

Speakers and topics include:

  • September 3 – Dr. Emin Lelic (History): “A Window into the Soul of the Ottoman Empire”; and John Mosher (Art) “Wanderer Narrative-based Art Exhibition”
  • October 1 – Dr. Fulbert Namwamba (Environmental Studies, Geography and Geosciences): “Sustainability Along the Kenyan Nzoia River Watershed and SU Study Abroad Course”; and Janice Schreibman (Music, Theatre and Dance): “Music Therapy Drum Circles with Police and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and other People of Color) Youth”
  • November 5 – Drs. David Burns (Communication): “The New Graduate Program in Public Communication”; and Diane Illig (Sociology): “The Plight of Academic Chairs: Liminality, Accountability and Authority”
  • December 3 – Drs. Michèle Schlehofer (Psychology), Timothy Stock (Philosophy), Jennifer Nyland (Biological Sciences): “Universities as Places of Community Enfranchisement: SU’s REACH Initiative”
