Student-Created Documentary to Air on Delmarva Public Media
SALISBURY, MD---Eleven senior environmental studies students at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ recently collaborated with Delmarva Public Media to produce an hour-long audio documentary, The Wicomico River: The Soul of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥. It premieres noon Friday, May 26, on WSDL 90.7-FM and WESM 91.3-FM.
The students, from Dr. Michael Lewis’ senior seminar, tell the story of the river, its impacts on ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and the surrounding area, and how it fits into the local ecosystem. They took on all roles for the project, including reporting, interviewing, editing and storytelling.
The semester-long initiative was funded through a Chesapeake Bay Trust Outreach and Restoration grant made possible through the financial support of the City of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥.
