Performance by Poet, Editor and Musican Iván Vergara and Opera Singer Espà López at SU
SALISBURY, MD---Poet, editor and musician Iván Vergara and professional opera singer Espí López deliver the performance “ArdeTrinidad” (“Burning Trinity”) 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, in Room 152 of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥’s Conway Hall.
Vergara is founder and chief executive officer of PLACA — Platform for Chilango (Mexican) and Andalucian (Spanish) Artists. Both he and López are based in Seville, Spain.
The event will be “an experience for the senses,” according to Vergara, including poetry, song and visual displays. Throughout the presentation, the duo perform multimedia readings of works in Spanish and English, illustrating the ways poetry has evolved in the digital age.
They also highlight the advantages of independent publishing during the presentation “The Experience of Independent Publishing in Mexico, Spain and the U.S.”
