Nabb Center Hosts 'Traveling Through Special Collections: Vignettes of Voyages and Travel'
SALISBURY, MD---¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture takes a look at transportation over the past two centuries through the exhibit “Traveling Through Special Collections: Vignettes of Voyages and Travel.”
The display is scheduled through Wednesday, December 19, in the first-floor lobby of SU’s Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons.
A reception is 6-7 p.m. Thursday, September 13. A related workshop, “Creative Writing with Special Collections,” is 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, November 3, at the Nabb Center, also in the Guerrieri Academic Commons.
The exhibit uses unique diaries, photographs, letters, drawings and other ephemera from the center’s special collections to examine the common reasons for traveling and advances made in transportation technology in the past 200 years.
