Borrowing Materials
The Libraries encourage eligible patrons to borrow materials from the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Libraries collections and request materials we do not own from other libraries across the country.

Request Items
Books and journal articles not available in the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Libraries collections may be requested from other University System of Maryland libraries and from libraries outside the system through Interlibrary Loan. Items may be requested by searching the catalog, or through your library accounts.
Please refer to the borrowing privileges page for more information about your eligibility for these services.
Returning Items
All items except iPads can be returned in person to the main Library Service Desk in the Guerrieri Academic Commons during library hours. iPads should be returned to the SU Libraries MakerLab (GAC 118) unless otherwise directed.
When the library is closed, most materials can be returned to one of the two book drops outside the GAC. One bookdrop is located on the south side of the GAC near the entrance facing Perdue and Henson halls, and the other is located on the east side of the GAC facing Route 13 under the covered entryway. A map showing book drop locations is available here.
Note that items such as laptops, iPads, and other equipment cannot be returned in the book drops, and must be returned in person during library hours.
