The remaining value of a face-to-face, on-campus, college experience is the opportunity for conversation and interpersonal interaction with a diversity of people and ideas. As much as possible, I seek to create classrooms in which students explore and discuss different perspectives with, of course, particular emphasis on structural understandings and interpretations of social realities. I try to create an inclusive classroom in which everyone feels safe and stays focused on sociological issues. I also believe that ALL students deserve to be challenged and become resilient through developing strategies to meet those challenges and achieve their goals.
