Why Choose a Nonprofit Leadership Minor at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥?

The nonprofit leadership minor at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ prepares students for civic engagement, employment and graduate study in nonprofit management, leadership and social innovation. Our minor at offers a unique interdisciplinary program of study to prepare future leaders of the nonprofit sector, as well as professionals in related fields such as social work, public policy and community development.

At SU, you will learn how to address important societal problems so you can make a difference, even before you graduate. Our students engage in participatory citizenship through internships or involvement with the Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE) and its programs, such as the Washington Center or AmeriCorps. Students completing this minor are eligible to receive the nationally recognized certification in nonprofit management by the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (NLA) organization.

This minor will benefit students from any major who are interested in combining their majors with knowledge and skills applicable to the nonprofit sector.

For a more in-depth study, SU also offers majors in social work, conflict analysis and dispute resolution, communication, interdisciplinary studies and sociology.
