A full-time, one-year commitment of 1700 hours of service (approximately 40 hours per week) offers the following benefits:
- Bi-weekly living allowance of $1,062 (over 48 weeks of active service)
- Education award of $7,395 to help pay for federal student loans and/or future educational expenses. Members who are age 55 or older may gift their award to a child or grandchild.
- Health Insurance, if eligible
- Child care reimbursements, if eligible
- Eight tuition-free undergraduate credits for completion of the training course at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥
- Federal student loan forbearance during service
- Payment of some or all of the interest accrued on a federal student loan that is in forbearance during service (upon successful completion of service)
- Support, including all expenses, to become a certified nonprofit professional (CNP) through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance
A half-time, one-year commitment of 900 hours of service (approximately 20 hours per week) offers the following benefits:
- Bi-weekly living allowance of $562 (over 48 weeks of active service)
- Education award of $3,697 to help pay for federal student loans and/or future educational expenses. Members who are age 55 or older may gift their award to a child or grandchild.
- Eight tuition-free undergraduate credits for completion of the training course at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥
- Federal student loan forbearance during service
- Payment of some or all of the interest accrued on a federal student loan that is in forbearance during service (upon successful completion of service)
- Support, including all expenses, to become a certified nonprofit professional (CNP) through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance
A minimum-time, one-year commitment of 300 hours of service offers the following benefits:
- Education award of $1,565 to help pay for federal student loans and/or future educational expenses. Members who are age 55 or older may gift their award to a child or grandchild.
- Federal student loan forbearance during service
- Payment of some or all of the interest accrued on a federal student loan that is in forbearance during service (upon successful completion of service)
- Current SU Students may apply your AmeriCorps experience toward the new Nonprofit Leadership Alliance certification program at SU.
