Show Descriptions
Heroes of the Fourth Turning by Will Arbery
- Description: As a celebratory reunion between college friends draws late into the night, a group of young conservatives spiral until spiritual crisis and political clashes. This haunting play explores personal and national conflicts with rapture and clarity, capturing the essence of a nation at odds with itself.
- Characters:
- Justin- A man in his 30s. He is a stoic former marine who works at the college.
- Kevin- A man in his late 20s. He is lost and lonely, struggling with alcohol, and curious about the outside world.
- Teresa- A woman in her late 20s. She lives in New York and writes for a right-wing publication. She’s fiery and follows the political ideas of Steve Bannon.
- Emily- A woman in her mid-20s. She is Gina’s daughter and is chronically ill. She is less rigid in her conservatism than the others and empathizes with those Teresa would disparage.
- Gina- A woman in her 60s. She is Emily’s mother and the newly inducted president of the Catholic college. She has an older right-wing view that contrasts heavily with Teresa’s.
